Children's Sunday School
Come see how we learn traditional things in non-traditional ways. Sunday school is a traditional thing for many Christians, and it's one of the ways we help our youngest members find some grounding in the faith we hold dear.
Sunday School begins at 10:00 am.
Rector’s Forum will meet each Sunday morning beginning Sept 8th at 10am in the Parish Hall to journey through the book of Acts.
We will be using A Journey through Acts: The 50 Day Bible Challenge, ed. by Marek Zabriskie and copies will be made available for free to all attendees. Each “day” includes a manageable amount of scripture reading, a short reflection, questions for thought or discussion, and a prayer and is oriented to personal reflection and application. Grab a cup of coffee and come join us!
School of Wisdom
St. Mark's School of Wisdom is open to the curious and the serious – to all seekers of Christian wisdom and spirituality. Our assumption is that everyone needs to find their own way, in their own way. Each course and each spiritual practice is part of a transformational journey, a journey we are all on whether we are conscious of it or not. All are welcome to join us in learning and practicing the spiritual path that Christianity has to offer.
Education for Ministry
This four-year program of intensive theological study prepares lay people with the theological education needed to support their faith and also teaches them to express that faith in day-to-day events. More EFM details can be found here: http://efm.sewanee.edu/about-efm/about-efm.
A new class begins September 2019. Contact us for more information.
St. Mark's Preschool
We provide an enriched early childhood developmental learning program in a Christian environment. The school incorporates a play-based curriculum that utilizes playful discovery as a teaching tool in all areas of development.
As a ministry of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, our school provides a warm, safe environment designed to nurture the spiritual growth of children and to create a community of families.
